Isolation/Loneliness - Check out 2 Timothy 4:17
With the Covid-19 pandemic, “isolation” became a common term. By definition, “isolate” means “to set apart from others.” Even if you do ever have to quarantine due to a disease, God will NEVER isolate Himself from you! He loves you too much! See 2 Timothy 4:17.
2 Timothy 4:17a says, “But the Lord stood with me and gave me strength...” Believe me, if He stood beside Paul when preaching the good news to make disciples, He will stand by you. If He can save Daniel in the lion’s den, you’re covered. If He was with Jonah in the belly of the whale after Jonah disobeyed Him, your sin is not too much. You matter to God. When we are down or feel lonely, we tend to isolate so others don’t know how we feel.
Did you know you were made for community? Yes, we are meant to do life alongside fellow believers to encourage us and push us in times that typically would cause us to isolate. But, even when we do still set ourselves aside from others, the Lord is still with us, and He wants you to welcome Him in and to dwell in your heart forever. Even when we are alone, we’re not actually alone!
