Isolation/Loneliness - Check out Daniel 3

Satan wants you to think that you’re in this fire alone. That nobody cares. That God has forgotten or forsaken you. Nothing could be further from the truth. Just ask Shadrach, Meshach & Abednego! Their story is found in Daniel 3 (look at verse 25!).

There are song lyrics I am always reminded of in the midst of the fire that reassure me that I’m not in this alone, and they are . . .

“There’ll be another in the fire standing next to me. There’ll be another in the waters holding back the seas. And should I ever need reminding how good you’ve been to me, I’ll count the joy come every battle ‘cause I know that’s where you’ll be... There is another in the fire.”

He was there in the fiery furnace with our key characters today. In fact, their king was shocked to see a fourth man walking around in the fire with them. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were about to get out of the fire unharmed because of the Lord being there in the midst of them! If He will do that for them, He will most certainly do it for you and me, too. He’s a faithful God that always thinks of you. He cares for you. Anything you’re going through, place it in His hands and allow Him to be in control.
