Isolation/Loneliness - Check out 2 Corinthians 4:8-10

Do you feel troubled? Distressed? Perplexed over unexplainable results? Do you want to run and hide? DON’T! Stand firm, and stand on the promise the Apostle Paul gave us in 2 Corinthians 4:8-10!

Let me be honest, our key verses today, 2 Corinthians 4:8-10, are ones I stand on during situations of trouble and despair. Why? Because they promise me that no matter what I’m facing, it could be worse, but He is greater than it and there for me in the tough times. Paul states in these verses . . .

“We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. Through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies.”

How wonderful is it to know that when we are suffering, we are closer to Jesus! In our loneliness, He is our friend and strength— one that pushes us to be seen how He sees us. He sees us and loves us in our times of despair. In fact, that’s when He reaches out to hold our hand and walk with us. Let Him . . . you never know where He might lead you . . . but He does!
