Where To Turn?
When you don’t know what else to do, where do you turn? Check out Isaiah 31. #YFA #iDevo
When you reach the point of not knowing what to do or where to turn. It can be easy to turn to what is familiar, easy, available, or logical. God’s plans though are not always familar, easy, available, or logical and take a leap of faith on our part. Isaiah warned not to trust in others, on things that you think can change or significantly impact your situation. Instead the first verse of Isaiah is a warning that King David wrote in the Psalms. Psalm 20:6-8 says, 6 “Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven With the saving strength of His right hand. 7 Some boast in chariots and some in horses, But we will boast in the name of the Lord, our God. 8 They have bowed down and fallen,
But we have risen and stood upright.
Our reliance can’t be on the things we can control or hope to change the outcome on. Instead we have to know without a shadow of a doubt where the source of our strength, hope, and future are. The truth is faith requires us to trust in something greater than ourselves or our circumstances. It requires knowing that God is watching over us and that he will use every situation we face to grow us and shape us until the day we get to stand before him in eternity and hear the words, “Well done my good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of the Lord.” So no matter what you are facing today, or how unequipped you may feel. Know you are not alone and God will be with you each step of the way. Allow Him to lead you and guide you and place your faith and trust in Him.
