Our God Delivers!!!

Does the enemy have you bound by certain habits or attitudes or fears of the unknown?  You’re not alone! Satan is in the “binding” business, but God is in the business of delivering!  Read Isaiah 37 for a great testimony that will strengthen your faith.

During the reign of King Hezekiah, Israel’s Southern Kingdom’s (Judah’s & Benjamin’s) arch enemy was Assyria  and their king, Sennacherib. King Sennacherib was very mouthy, and openly defied Jehovah God to Hezekiah. He had become very prideful as Assyria had “mowed down” kingdom after kingdom in pursuit of global domination.  In their thinking, Judah and Benjamin were nothing more than a speed bump to further military supremacy.

Have you felt lately that the enemy is in the process of “mowing” you over?  Now that you’re having to spend more time at home, has there been growing tensions with your parents and/or siblings?  Have you lost your job because of COVID-19? Has the “enemy” of fear done a number on your psyche, making you feel defeated and helpless?  Take heart. You’re not alone. And it doesn’t matter how big or powerful your “Sennacherib” and his army may be! GOD IS ALWAYS IN CONTROL!

Look at what happened in Isaiah 37 and be encouraged.  King Hezekiah humbled himself and prayed to Jehovah God with all of his heart, and God answered in a powerful way.  He sent His angel to take care of the situation, and verse 36 tells us that the angel killed 185,000 Assyrian soldiers without Hezekiah having to raise even one sword!  That’s incredible! Regardless of how bad your situation may look . . . regardless of how far the enemy has reared his ugly head . . . regardless of how the negatives continue to mount in your life, this is the bottom line: God has the enemy right where He wants him!  And He WILL take care of you! Your job? Stay in the Word and on your knees. Demonstrate active faith. Don’t allow fear to remain in your spirit. Then . . . sit back, rest, and wait, seeing firsthand that OUR GOD DELIVERS!
