Time to Even the Score!

Do you feel like things are getting worse in our world instead of better?  Have you grown weary of all of the politics and favoritism and a really messed up culture?  There’s a day of reckoning coming! Consider Isaiah 21:9 and the words below. #YFA #iDevo

Taken in proper context, Isaiah 21:9 is a prophecy concerning the fall of literal Babylon.  Babylon has always been an enemy of God, the antithesis of everything that is pure and righteous and godly.  In Isaiah’s time, the Babylonians were arch enemies of Israel, God’s chosen people. Isaiah’s prophecy was fulfilled in 689 B.C. when King Sennacherib conquered the nation of Babylon.

Fast forward several hundred years to the book of the Revelation (the final book in the Bible) written by the Apostle John while exiled on the island of Patmos.  As you study this great prophecy, you’ll see that “Babylon” becomes a symbol of everything that opposes God and His people. It references a demonic system instituted by the antichrist.  “Babylon” is a symbol of this world, of everything that is ungodly and unrighteous and vile. You can read John’s words in Revelation 14:8 and 18:1-2. In Bible prophecy, Babylon is very important.  And the apostle uses the same type of language as Isaiah to show us clearly the demise of modern day Babylon - “Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great!”  Understand friends . . . Satan is going down!  He is a defeated foe! I’ve read the final chapter, and I’ve got great news . . . WE WIN!  PTL! It may get worse before it gets better, but it WILL get better!

Hang on to Jesus.  Don’t let go. When God begins to move in the last days, we will know and see this reality firsthand.  Death and the grave will be defeated. Sickness will be no more. Sin will be a distant memory, because “Babylon” will be defeated once and for all.  Yes, when God enters the picture, it will be TIME TO EVEN THE SCORE once and for all!
