Example In Leadership

Everyone likes to point out the difference between a boss and a leader. Or has their own criteria of what makes a good leader. Sure some of it is good, the Bible though points out 5 areas that should set us apart as a leader. These are the traits that as we set the example in will draw people to Christ or push them away. So take a moment and examine yourself and these 5 areas and work to improve each of them.

Love - our actions made in love will define us, Jesus challenged us to love God with everything we have heart, mind, soul, and strength and our neighbor just the same. Are you an example of Christ’s love on earth? (Mark 12:30-31 & Luke 10:27-28)

Faith - Our words can only take us so far they have to be based on believing that God can and will do what is impossible for us and taking that step of faith. Are your dreams your sized or God sized? (Hebrews 11::1-6

Purity - We are called to live in the world but not be of the world. We have to be set apart and living a lifestyle that is different from the world. (1 John 2:15-16)

Speech - Do your words build people up or do they tear them down. (Ephesians 4:29)

Conduct - Your actions speak louder than any words you say. Are they drawing people to Christ or causing people to run away from Christ (Philippians 1:27)
