How many times do we think an extra pay check, better paying, job, more education, finding the right person with a ton of cash, or an unexpected windfall will make things better? For the world money solves a lot of problems, the thing is it also creates a ton more. King Solomon had it all from money to brains to power yet his reminder was the dangers of money. The truth is money has consequences and the biggest one it can cause us to rely on it our ourselves instead of God. We forget the one who blessed us with the increase, our source, and instead simply enjoy the fruits. And like a fruit tree that is never tended or taken care of if we forget about our source it will hurt us down the road. So today instead of asking God for more money, ask for wisdom to help you through the situation you are in because sometimes it is not about needed more money but about managing what you have better.
