Thank God, I am free!

Does something have you bound today?  Are you suffering from “life events,” from bad news, from despondency?  Ready for some good news?  Here it is . . . There’s hope!  Read Isaiah 42 for some great encouragement! #YFA #iDevo

The Prophet Isaiah has a lot to say in his book about the coming Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ.  His words brought hope and joy and strength to God’s chosen people, the nation of Israel.  But the same promises given to them likewise apply to us in 2020!  We ARE the people of God if we’ve accepted the payment for our sins on the cross of Calvary by the Son of God, Jesus!  Yes, with a simple prayer of repentance and confession, you too can become an heir of God Almighty and a joint-heir of Jesus Christ!  (READ Romans 10:9-10 for clarity.)

The benefits of such a decision?  Here are a few . . . peace, joy, everlasting life, purpose, strength, the continual presence of the Holy Spirit, etc., etc., etc.  In Isaiah 42, the Prophet gives us some insight into what the ministry of Christ would look like.  Read it and be encouraged by the incredible life that is available for anyone and everyone who calls out to Him!  It’s amazing how accurate the Prophet was.  Jesus Christ fulfilled each and every prophecy to a tee.  Wow!

Let these words of Isaiah 42:7 minister to you today and be encouraged.  Yes, these words are FOR YOU, and somebody needs to hear them, T-O-D-A-Y!  Here goes . . . “To open eyes that are blind, to free captives in prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.”  Accept it.  Receive it.  Live by it.  You can be set free and released by the power of God, T-O-D-A-Y!  And then you, too, can shout these words, “THANK GOD, I AM FREE!”
