He Reigns!

We live in a time when the world seems to be turned on its head. Everyone is affected regardless of sex, race, social status, or any other factor. We are all the same an impacted. We have seen this throughout history and into the present and while Isaiah talks about a judgment brought on by the Lord. The reality is that every disease and disaster is not a judgment of God. Instead we have to remember that we live in a fallen world that was caused by sin and that death, destruction, and despair we can experience and feel is because their is a destroyer who wants to see people perish and it can feel like death reigns throughout the world.

The end of this chapter and the end of the Bible though is while we live in a temporary world where death and destruction may currently reign. This will not always be the case and ultimately God reigns. He sits on the throne and He will reign for all eternity. In the end death, disease, despair, and destruction are all DEFEATED.

So remember no matter what you are facing or going through today. He reigns now and forever. For us as believers we have an opportunity to look at our surroundings or to focus on eternity. It is an chance through the disease, destruction, death, and despair to bring the light of Christ into a fallen world. So trust in your creator, knowing he reigns and use this opportunity to reach the lost, hurting, and dying all around you.
