How Can I Reach God?
How does someone actually reach the throne of God? How do I know that I’m praying correctly? Is it all about the church I attend or using a certain man made formula? These are legitimate questions, and one that the Apostle Paul answers directly in 1 Timothy 2:5.
Many people in 2020 are confused about the “process” to reach God. One church teaches that you have to be part of their church for God to hear you. Another one teaches that you have to go through their priest to be heard, that you can’t have direct access. Someone else may suggest that you’ll never be good enough to talk to God. And some may even say that you have to make it right with the universe before He’ll recognize you.
As simplistic as it may sound, the “process” really isn’t complicated. Paul tells us in 1 Timothy 2:5, “For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” Yes, Jesus is THE MAN! In fact, according to scripture, He’s the ONLY WAY to reach the Father. You can’t reach Him through man made formulas or certain denominations or even by following church tradition. All of that is difficult. All of that is cumbersome. And yes, all of that originated with humans, NOT God.
Understand: God wants to talk to you. He wants to have a relationship with you. But it has to be on His terms, not ours. It’s all about a relationship with His Son, Jesus! Notice I didn’t say “religion.” I said “relationship.” If you’ve accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you qualify for instant access to the Father! But remember, when you pray, you are to pray “in the name of Jesus,” as He IS the door to the Father. If Jesus is not your Lord and Savior, read and DO what Paul says in Romans 10:9-10. It’s that easy! Wow! How can I reach God? J-E-S-U-S!
