Hmmm. What Does God Hate?

We always think of hate as a strong and sometimes bad word. Parents can even work to get their kids to use different words like we dislike something because it sounds better. Solomon points out though that there are 6 things God hates and doubles down saying there are 7 things God views as abominations. Solomon does not make the language more palatable instead he emphasizes a problem. The thing is the church struggles with things on the list slander, gossip, and lies have split many churches. So today as you look over the list make sure it is not an area you are struggling with.

1. haughty eyes - haughty means prideful

2. lying tongue

3, Hands that shed innocent blood

4. A heart that devises wicked schemes.

5. Feet that run to evil

6. A false witness that tells lies

7. One who spreads strife.
