The Holiness of God: Praise

Psalm 30:4 “Sing to the LORD, all you godly ones! Praise his holy name.”

Sometimes we reach the point in life where everything seems to be going wrong and nothing is going write. Our first instinct is to complain or throw ourselves a pity party but that is not what God wants us to do. You see He isn’t just there for us during the good times, He is also there during the tough and bad times. When we praise Him during the storm it completely changes our perspective.

You see we praise Him because He is holy. His character says that He will keep His promises and we simply need to trust Him. My life verse is Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your path straight.”

Here is the deal, people know you will praise God when the good times roll. Everyone shouts how the Lord blesses them when the good things are happening but when the bad happens it is a different story. You see the unsaved people in your life who are watching you, and they are. Don’t care about how you handle yourself when things are going great. They want to see how real God is when everything goes south. It is the praise in the midst of the storm. The praising of God because He is holy and you can place your faith and trust in Him before you have your answer that has the most impact.

So whatever you are dealing with today. Take time to lift up your hands and praise God through your circumstances.
