The Kingdom of God

(Mark 1)

“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”- Mark 1:15

Many people have heard the term “Kingdom of God,” but few really understand what it is. What is the Kingdom of God? It is the central theme of Jesus’ teaching and the foundational message of the Church founded by Him through His disciples.

Jesus announced the inauguration of a new era of salvation, of which repentance and belief in the gospel were prerequisites-(a thing that is required as a prior condition for something else to happen or exist.)  Jesus prophesied this same message shall be taken to the ends of the world. In Matthew 24:14 He was commissioning His disciples to do this and promised the Holy Spirit’s power for the task. -Acts 1:3-8

Learn what God’s laws are and then begin living in accordance with the rules of His Kingdom.

There is only one gospel: Jesus preached it, transmitted it to His disciples, and has committed it to His church.  The gospel isn’t just “the good news.” The good news is more than that. The good news is the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The good news is that we can have eternal life. The gospel not only tells us that we can have eternal life, but how to have eternal life. And that gospel is that we have been redeemed and can be born again through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Jude 3 urges us to always contend for  “the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.” Hold to the full “gospel of the kingdom” and expect the Lord to confirm  that “word” with the signs He promised. -Mark 16:15-18

The coming Kingdom of God is the message that God wants to convey to every person on earth.
The crucial question is, Will you be a part of it?
