A Different Way!
Are you sure the path you have decided on is the right way? Check out Isaiah 26. #YFA #iDevo.
A lot of times we talk about the highs and lows of Christianity. We see climbing to the mountaintop for an amazing experience with God and then heading down from that where if we do not find the next mountaintop to start climbing we end up as low as one can get. Even to the point of forgetting the mountaintop experience. Elijah saw it after he defeated all the prophets of Baal and then ran from queen Jezebel because he was afraid for his life.
Mountaintops are great and they are great victories but sometimes God wants to take us through the valley. The valley is where we learn faith, trust, perseverance, and the reality that we have to rely on something more than ourselves. It is why David wrote in Psalm 23 that even though He was going through the valley of the shadow of death he knew that God would be with him. In the same way Isaiah reminds us of God’s promises to us for those who are faithful and righteous. To have security and safety, perfect peace, God’s truth in us, defeat for those that come against God, and a smooth path,
God did not promise everything would be easy. To be honest he did not say we would be going over the mountain because sometimes we wants to take us through it instead. So today, know that whether you are on the mountaintop, going through the valley or somewhere in between. You are where God wants you to be and He will equip you for whatever you will face and see you through.
