I waited and God did not answer
When the wait feels like forever, what should you do? Check out 1 Sam 13:7-14. #iDevo #YFA #LivingLeadership
After Saul’s first victory Samuel told him and the nation of Israel to go to Gilgal and he would join the. The thing is Samuel did not show up right away, 7 days later the king and the people were impatient. Had Samuel forgotten them, was he late, had something happened. They did not know so Saul took matters into his own hands. Too me it sounds like another story in the Bible where the people tired of waiting on Moses on the mountain got his brother Aaron to build them an idol to worship.
Truth is we are very similar to the people of Israel, Aaron, and Saul. We get impatient when God’s timing does not match our own. In the end, a lot of times we step in and start doing instead of waiting on God. The thing is we have to learn God’s timing and our may not match and we have to be willing to trust God when things seem to take longer than we want them too.
Saul lost a lot because of not trusting God to provide for him and needing to take matters into his own hands. So next time you have felt like you have waited as long as you could. Ask yourself. Is my timeline my own or is it God’s because if God said wait, we have to wait until He says move and not whenever we want to.
Remember God is never late, He is rarely early, but He is always on time.
