Sincerity: Sincere Faith > Good Theology

“The aim of our charge is love that issues from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. Certain persons, by swerving from these, have wandered away into vain discussion, desiring to be teachers of the law, without understanding either what they are saying or the things about which they make confident assertions.” -1 Timothy 1:5-7

Sincere faith always trumps good theology. It doesn’t matter how much you read the bible, how much you study religious books, or how well you can defend your faith by reason if your relationship with Jesus is not sincere.

What good is your knowledge if you are ignorant of things that will last for eternity? KNOW God’s grace. KNOW God’s love. And KNOW God deeply and personally. This makes your faith sincere and it makes the knowledge you have worth something. It has to start there!
