Worship: God Deserves Everyone's Worship
“...for it is written, ‘As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.’ ” -Romans 14:11
Answer this question: What is God worthy of? Is he worthy of a lot of money? Of your prayers? Of a beautiful song? If you said anything like that, you were probably right. But I want to focus in on this today: God is worthy of everyone’s worship.
Nobody on this earth can say, “God is worthy of my worship, but he’s not worthy of that person’s.” God is just as worthy of the worship of the Pope as he is the President. He’s just as worthy of the worship of your next door neighbor as he is your pastor. No matter what, God deserves everyone’s worship.
Now, not everyone will end up worshiping God. But this is why we share the gospel! We don’t share the gospel just because we think that’s a good thing to do. We share the gospel because God is worthy of the worship of the person you’re sharing it with!
So next time you share your faith with someone, think of it as a gift to God - a gift of bringing another one of his children back into worshiping him!
