The Promise
God through Isaiah gave us each a promise to help us through the most trying of times. Do you know what the promise was? Check out Isaiah 42. #YFA #iDevo
A lot of times we can feel like all hope is lost or gone. Especially in dark moments when life takes hold of us and the enemy is trying to whisper in our ear that we are finished and have failed. It is in these moments we have to remember the promise of the one who created us. That he sent a savior who would redeem and restore us. That we are so precious in His sight that He promised to rescue us and all we have to do is choose to be rescued. For Israel the promise was a reminder that even though they would face captivity one day God would send His servant to free them. For us that captivity is the bondage of sin. It has made us slaves to the flesh and our own selfish desires, we are captives to it until the day we allow Christ to set us free.
Today if you or someone you know is a captive of sin, begin to pray for them that they could be free and if you are dealing with something that is hindering your relationship to God. Christ came to set you free from that as well.
